Y DERWYDDON : 2

CYFAREDD CAER IS

  • Y STORI’N FYR

Mae Gwynlan a Taran, ynghyd â’r mynach Budog, yn troi am ddinas chwedlonol Caer Is – dinas a godwyd ger y môr lle teyrnasa’r dywysoges Dahud, merch y brenin Gralon. Er bod Dahud dal yn driw i hen grefydd y Celtiaid, mae’n ddigon parod i groesawu mynachod yr Eglwys Geltaidd newydd i’w dinas, ac i’w temtio â phleserau mewn neuaddau llawn oferedd a chynteddau o nwyd. Er hynny, mae llawer mwy i’w chyfaredd na’r chwantau amlwg, a hithau’n styfnig i’r carn wrth wrthod unrhyw ddarpar ŵr i’w phriodi. Ond pan ddaw’r pendefig diweddara i geisio’i llaw, daw hefyd dystiolaeth newydd i gynorthwyo ymchwil Gwynlan i lofruddiaethau’r mynachod.

  • SYNOPSIS IN ENGLISH

Gwynlan and Taran venture with their companion monk Budog to the legendary city of Caer Is. Built at the edge of the sea, with mighty walls as protection from the tides, Caer Is is governed by princess Dahud, daughter of King Gralon. Although Dahud remains faithful to the old Celtic religion she is willing to welcome monks of the new Celtic Church into her city, to tempt them with sinful pleasures. Despite her sensual appearance, Dahud is extremely strong-willed, defying all who attempt to seek her hand in marriage. However when her latest suitor arrives at the gates of Caer Is, so does new evidence to help Gwynlan unravel his murder mystery..
